Welcome Back to all of our returning and prospective IDEAS members! We are looking forward to an exciting and productive year!

Special Notice: Our weekly lunch meetings are officially going to be held each Friday at noon in Burruss 224. During each meeting we will be having a guest speaker from various companies in our region.

Also, please keep in mind that dues for both returning and new members is $15. Our treasurer, Jen Wilkinson in the junior studio, will be collecting dues up through the end of September.

8TRACKS Exhibit at XYZ Gallery


The 8TRACKS exhibit which opened Friday, March 14, 2008 at XYZ Gallery will be up on display until Monday, March 24 from 7-9PM every night. Nearly two years ago, eight design students decided to meet weekly after studio and critique each others work, and so The Koine Group was born. The original intent, to give and get feedback on studio projects, was so successful it resulted in the creation of new concepts, art, and design outside of academic requirements. 8TRACKS is our first group showing. The premise lies in the interconnectedness of our design processes. Ideas under development would be shared at meetings, receiving input and invoking responses. We believe dialogue to be both the vehicle and destination of our work. After months of hard work, this day is your opportunity to join the discussion and share your thoughts with us. Come to our show and tell us what you think! The show covers a broad range of media: screen prints, painting, sculpture, and photography. With a wide diversity of talent and style, there's something here for everyone. The Koine Group is: Gavin Argo, Charlotte Daum, Rob Deane, Bert Green, Moriah O'Brien, Jay Osborne, Amrita Raja, and Matt Starck
